- Assistant Labour Commissioner: A degree from a recognized university and Diploma in Social Work or Labour Welfare or Industrial Relations or Personnel Management or Labour Law from a recognized University or Institution.

- The number of vacancies has increased from 965 in 2022 to 1255 in 2023, which is a rise of about 30%. This includes 1105 vacancies for civil services and 150 vacancies for Indian Forest Service.
- The UPSC has introduced a new service called Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS), which will replace the existing eight railway services. The IRMS will have four branches: Technical, Non-Technical, Accounts and Personnel. The candidates who opt for IRMS will have to appear for a common engineering paper in the mains examination.
