WBCS 2023 Notification

WBCS Exam Date 2023

WBCS Vacancy 2023

WBCS 2023 Eligibility Criteria

WBCS 2023 Selection Process

1. Preliminary Exam: The preliminary exam consists of a multiple-choice objective type question paper. The exam is conducted for a total of 200 marks and the duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will be eligible for the main exam.

2. Main Exam: The main exam consists of six papers – four compulsory papers and two optional papers. The compulsory papers are General Studies I, General Studies II, General Studies III, and Arithmetic & Reasoning. Candidates can choose two optional papers from a list of subjects provided by the WBPSC. The main exam is conducted for a total of 1800 marks.

3. Personality Test: The personality test is the final stage of the selection process. Candidates who qualify in the main exam will be called for the personality test. The personality test is conducted for a total of 200 marks and aims to assess the candidate’s suitability for a career in public service.

The final selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the main exam and the personality test. The preliminary exam is only a screening test and the marks obtained in the preliminary exam will not be considered for the final selection.

WBCS Admit Card 2023

The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) will release the WBCS 2023 admit card on its official website a few weeks before the exam date. Candidates can download their admit card by visiting the official website and entering their registration number and date of birth.

The admit card is a mandatory document that candidates must carry to the exam center on the day of the exam.
