Age:
- Candidates must be at least 15 years old and under 24 years old on the date of notification.
- The upper age limit is relaxed by:
- 5 years for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
- 3 years for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates.
- 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC).
- Up to an additional 10 years for ex-servicemen, plus 3 years if their service in the Defense Forces was at least 6 months continuous, except for ex-servicemen already employed in the Civil Service.

- Candidates claiming SC/ST reservations must provide a valid caste certificate issued by the appropriate authority in the Central Government format (Annexure-B).
- Candidates claiming OBC reservation must provide a valid caste certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the appropriate authority in the Central Government format (Annexure-C). The OBC certificate must be no older than one year from the notification closing date.
- Candidates claiming ex-servicemen/Armed Forces Personnel reservation must provide a discharge certificate or (for children of ex-servicemen/Armed Forces Personnel) a discharge certificate or service certificate of their parent, respectively, at the time of document verification.
