    A. Application Registration

    1. Visit the Bank of India’s website: https://bankofindia.co.in/career
    2. Click on ‘CAREER’ and then “Recruitment of Officers in various streams upto Scale IV- Project No. 2023-24/1 Notice dated 01.02.2024”.
    3. In the new window, click on “APPLY ONLINE”.
      • Choose “Click here for New Registration” to create an account.
      • Enter your name, contact details, and email address.
      • A temporary registration number and password will be generated and sent to your email and phone (SMS).
    4. You can save your progress anytime using “SAVE AND NEXT”.
    5. Important: Fill and verify all details carefully. No changes will be allowed after clicking “COMPLETE REGISTRATION”.
    6. Ensure your name matches exactly with your certificates and ID proof. Discrepancies may lead to disqualification.
    7. Validate and save your application using “Validate your details” and “Save & Next”.
    8. Upload your scanned photograph and signature as per specifications (refer to Section C for details).
    9. Fill out the remaining application form details.
    10. Preview the entire application before final submission.
    11. Only after verifying everything, including photo, signature, thumb impression, and declaration, click “COMPLETE REGISTRATION”.

    B. Payment of Fees (Online Only)

    1. The application form is integrated with a payment gateway. Follow the instructions for payment.
    2. Accepted payment methods: Mastercard, Visa, RuPay Credit/Debit cards, Internet Banking, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets, QR, or UPI.
    3. Do not refresh or go back after submitting payment details to avoid double charges.
    4. On successful payment, an e-Receipt will be generated.
    5. If no e-Receipt is generated, the payment failed. Try again using your registration number and password.
    6. Print a copy of the e-Receipt and the online application form.

    C. Guidelines for Document Scan and Upload

    Before applying, you will need scanned images of:

    • Photograph (recent passport size color picture, 4.5cm x 3.5cm, 200×230 pixels, 20-50kb)
    • Signature (black ink on white paper, 140×60 pixels, 10-20kb)
    • Left thumb impression (black/blue ink on white paper, 240×240 pixels, 20-50kb)
    • Handwritten declaration (English on white paper with black ink, 800×400 pixels, 50-100kb)

    Declaration Text:

    “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

    Formatting:

    • Signature/declaration in capital letters will not be accepted.
    • Upload photo, signature, thumb impression, and declaration only in designated spaces.
    • Ensure JPG/JPEG format.

    Scanning:

    • Set scanner resolution to minimum 200dpi.
    • Set color to true color.
    • Crop the image to the edges of the document.
    • Save as JPG/JPEG.

    Uploading:

    • Click on designated links for each document upload.
    • Browse and select the saved file.
    • Click “Open/Upload”.
    • Preview the uploaded image for clarity. Re-upload if unclear.

    Online Examination:

    • The exam will assess General Awareness with a focus on the Banking Industry and Professional Knowledge.
    • A merit list will be created based on exam scores for each category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/GEN).
    • Minimum qualifying marks and interview selection ratio will be determined by the bank.

    Penalty for Wrong Answers in Online Exam

    • A penalty will be applied for marking incorrect answers in the objective portion of the online exam.
    • For each incorrectly answered question, one-fourth of the question’s assigned marks will be deducted from the candidate’s score.
    • Leaving a question blank will not incur any penalty.

    Interview:

    • Candidates with qualifying online exam scores (or shortlisted based on qualifications) will be called for an interview.
    • The interview carries 100 marks.
    • Minimum qualifying marks for the interview vary by category.

    Selection:

    • Selection will be based on a combination of online exam scores (if applicable) and interview scores.
    • The weightage for each component will be 80% for online exam and 20% for interview (if applicable).
    • A final merit list will be created based on combined scores, with category-wise quotas.
    • In case of a tie, the order will be determined by online exam score (if applicable), then interview score, and lastly, date of birth (older candidate gets priority).
