Indian Army SSC Job Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Nationality:
- You must be a citizen of India.
Educational Qualification:
- You must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in one of the following streams:
- Computer Science Engineering
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- For Final Year Engineering Students:
- You must be able to submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination along with marksheets of all semesters/years by 01 October 2024.
- Your cumulative percentage of marks up to the final semester/year must not be less than the approved cut-off percentage.
Physical and Medical Standards:
- You must meet the physical and medical standards prescribed by the Indian Army. These include height, weight, vision, chest expansion, and other medical tests.

Other Eligibility Criteria:
- You must be unmarried and male for SSC(Tech)-63 Men, and unmarried or widowed without dependent children for SSCW(Tech)-34 Women.

Indian Army SSC Job Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
Stage 1: Application and Shortlisting:
- Submit your online application on the official Join Indian Army website between 23rd January 2024 and 21st February 2024.
- The Army will review your application and shortlist candidates based on their academic qualifications. Minimum cut-off percentage varies for each engineering discipline.
- Shortlisted candidates will receive an email with their allotted Selection Centre location and date for the next stage.
Stage 2: Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview:
- This stage assesses your suitability for officer qualities through a two-stage interview process:
- Stage 1: Officer Selection Tests (OSDs) including Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT), Group Discussion (GD), Progressive Group Task (PGT), and Situation Reaction Test (SRT).
- Stage 2: Interview by a Board of Officers.
- Performance in each test and interview is evaluated, and candidates are given a final mark. This mark, along with your academic marks, determines your overall merit, which decides your final selection.
Stage 3: Medical Examination:
- Medically fit candidates will be called for a medical examination at a Military Hospital Board.
- This examination assesses your physical fitness and presence of any medical conditions that may hinder your service.
Stage 4: Final Merit List and Selection:
- Based on the combined score of SSB interview, medical examination, and academic marks, a final merit list is prepared.
- Selection is done strictly based on merit and vacancies available in each branch.
